Amaliah has emerged on her local scene as a strong advocate for varying dance focused genres. Her early days consisted of high energy disco, soul and funk sets where she found her path into her DJ career. This exploration derived from her love for record collecting, which she had been doing for a few years prior. After taking the plunge of booking her first gig, she later saw growing success and became involved with stations like Balamii Radio and Foundation FM and clubs/bars like The BBE Store and Brilliant Corners. This encouraged her to later start her own events label, Borne Fruits. Borne Fruits was created by Amaliah so she could throw parties she knew her friends would enjoy, whilst also focusing on the importance of the music. There were no frills, no London prices and no hype, it was just all about creating a welcoming vibe. Recently, this year has seen Amaliah flourish into a notable artist among her scene. Her sound has developed from her early days and she now incorporates more heavier rhythms of the UK underground, including house, techno, electro, UKG and UK funky. This mixture of sounds has made her sets recognizable and sought after for having such varied content. It has also led her to be featured on stations like Rinse FM, NTS and work with the likes of Percolate, Fabric and Oval Space. Having been described as a 'DJ to watch for 2021', Amaliah is ready to get back to business and where she belongs!
