Adam Scrimshire was 14 when he started making music on an Amiga 500, with a Yamaha Tone Generator and an 8-Bit Sampler.

Many years later, in 2006 Wah Wah 45s signed Scrimshire. A perfect fit with music steeped in jazz, soul and funk, with a nod to contemporary sounds, and strong in popular song writing sensibilities.

In 2019 he finally followed up with the album Listeners on his Albert’s Favourites label. A culmination of learning and growing in the six years since Bight, Listeners received huge amounts of love. Collaborations with Georgia Anne Muldrow, Emma-Jean Thackray, Madison McFerrin and more, got played across radio worldwide. The record was featured as Album of the Day on BBC Radio 6 Music, and led to interviews and support from Jamie Cullum on BBC Radio 2.
